If an employer asked you to complete screening with MufaSoft Verify, this page explains what to expect. Your exact package is chosen by the employer—only the checks they order will apply to you.
Technology & IT roles — checks employers often include
For software, product, and IT hiring, programmes frequently emphasise verifiable skills and work history because roles touch code, data, and client systems. Depending on level and sector, your employer may request:
Criminal & court record checks
Many employers include court and police verification as part of your package. You may be asked for consent, location history, or additional documents so the right jurisdictions can be searched. Timing and scope depend on the role, where you have lived or worked, and your employer's policy—not every check applies to every candidate.
- Identity & address — Valid government ID and proof of residence (e.g. Aadhaar eKYC, passport, utility proofs) as specified in your invite.
- Employment verification — Prior employers, designations, dates of employment, and relieving documentation; claims about clients, projects, or stack may be validated where declared on your CV.
- Education verification — Degrees and institutions from recognised universities or boards.
- Professional certifications — Cloud, security, or vendor credentials you list (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, CISSP) may be checked with the issuing body—keep credentials current and be ready to share credential IDs if asked.
- References — Manager or HR confirmation when the programme includes structured references.
- Database & watchlists — Sanctions and relevant screening lists, especially for regulated, financial, or global delivery roles.
- Employment gaps — Be prepared to explain career breaks; employers may ask for supporting detail where material to the role.
- Digital / social review— Only where your employer's policy allows, you have been informed in advance, and it is proportionate to the job.
This list is illustrative, not exhaustive. International work history or niche compliance (e.g. export control) can add further steps—your invite and employer HR will define scope.
